A 40-year-old worker was killed at a metro construction site in Minsk this morning. The accident occurred at the construction site of a station on Maksim Bahdanovich Street.

According to the Investigative Committee, the man was walking along a longitudinal beam securing the excavation pit. He slipped and fell onto the concrete floor of the construction site.

“As a result of falling from a height of about seven meters, he sustained injuries that proved fatal,” the statement said.

The Investigative Committee has launched an investigation into the worker’s death. Investigators are inspecting the scene, questioning eyewitnesses, and seizing documents.
