Ukrainian company Epicentr has announced that it is halting production following today’s Russian strike.
“Last night, the enemy delivered a devastating strike against Epicentr’s production and logistics infrastructure.
In a matter of minutes, Russian missiles destroyed what the company had spent decades building. One of our employees, a young man with his whole life ahead of him, was killed. Strategic logistics facilities were destroyed. One of the largest ceramic tile manufacturing plants in Ukraine has effectively been lost,” the company said in a statement.
According to the company, its logistics center in Kyiv was destroyed by fire. In Kalynivka, one employee was killed and three others were injured. The logistics complex there was also destroyed.
Another missile struck the company’s manufacturing plant, destroying all of its production kilns. As a result, further operations have become impossible.
“We have been forced to make the extremely difficult decision to suspend production at the Epicentr Ceramic Corporation plant. To prevent product shortages and ensure uninterrupted supplies, production will initially be transferred to two facilities abroad. At the same time, we are beginning preparations to launch production at another facility in Ukraine,” the statement said.
Epicentr specializes in the production and sale of goods for construction, renovation, gardening and home improvement.
