The eldest son of Alyaksandr Lukashenka, Viktar Lukashenka, is on a visit to the United Arab Emirates. Today in Abu Dhabi, he held a meeting with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court of the UAE.
The UAE state news agency WAM referred to Viktar Lukashenka as Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s special envoy to the Middle East.
“During the meeting, the sides discussed cooperative relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Belarus, as well as ways to further develop them in various sectors in the interests of both friendly countries and peoples. A number of issues of mutual interest were also reviewed,” WAM reported.
The meeting was also attended by UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi and Viktar Lukashenka’s aide Siarhei Zeliankevich.
Belarusian authorities have not officially reported on the visit.
