On January 27, Russia struck a passenger train in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region that was traveling on the Barvinkove–Lviv–Chop route. There were 291 passengers on board.
According to preliminary information, three Shahed-type drones hit the locomotive and a passenger car. The strikes caused a fire, said Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kuleba.
Passengers were evacuated from the train. As of now, two people are known to have been injured. Backup buses have been arranged for passengers.
