This was stated by Aliaksandr Valfovich, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, as he assessed the results of an inspection of the Armed Forces conducted on Lukashenka’s orders, BelTA reports.
“We can compare what we saw during the inspection in the first half of the year with what we are seeing now as we inspect military units. There is, of course, a significant difference. A substantial leap forward has been made, and the professional training of military personnel has improved,” Valfovich said.
As part of the combat readiness inspection, numerous permanently combat-ready units of the operational commands were examined, including mechanised and tank battalions and artillery formations.
On October 19, the inspection began at the 38th Separate Guards Air Assault Brigade. The duty company and one of the units were brought to a state of readiness to carry out their assigned tasks under peacetime staffing arrangements.
Following the previous inspection, Aliaksandr Lukashenka instructed officials to review combat and physical training programmes and improve their quality.
