Uzbek businesspeople intend to expand their agricultural enterprises in the Vitsyebsk Region. A delegation from Uzbekistan’s Kashkadarya Region has once again visited the region.
“Our goal is not only to increase foreign trade turnover, which has already grown 1.6-fold this year, but also to develop cooperation in agricultural processing and livestock farming. Our colleagues from Uzbekistan, including those from the Kashkadarya Region, are already operating in several districts.
One example is the Shumilina District, where they have leased a livestock facility and are raising cattle there. This project can already be considered a success. There are also plans to establish beef production facilities in the Liozna, Dokshytsy, Haradok districts and elsewhere,” said Anzhalika Nikitsina, deputy chair of the Vitsyebsk Regional Executive Committee, describing the visit.
It should be recalled that it was previously reported that Uzbek businesspeople had taken over a farm in the Shumilina District and had also leased 4,000 hectares of arable land.
