Ukrainian and Russian Delegations Fly Out of Homiel

The Ukrainian and Russian delegations taking part in the humanitarian operation in Oleshky have left Homiel aboard the same aircraft, BelTA reported.

This morning, the state news agency reported that a plane carrying the Russian delegation had arrived in Homiel. Later, a Ukrainian delegation headed by Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets crossed the border through the Novaya Huta checkpoint. A crew from the American television channel Newsmax also arrived with him.

The Belarusian side provided transport for the Ukrainian delegation.

Dmytro Lubinets confirmed on his Telegram channel that he was on his way to Oleshky.

The meeting between the delegations took place at the airport in the regional center. Both delegations subsequently flew out of Homiel.
