Ukraine Returns Its Citizen With Serious Injuries From Belarus

Ukrainian authorities have reported the return of a Ukrainian citizen who had been in serious condition in Belarus. This was announced by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets on his Telegram channel.

According to him, a request for assistance had previously been received by the Ombudsman’s Office concerning a woman who had found herself in extremely difficult life circumstances abroad. It was established that two years ago she sustained severe injuries after falling from the sixth floor of a residential building. Following the incident, she underwent several surgical operations in Belarusian medical institutions.

Her prolonged stay away from her family, lack of adequate support from relatives, and difficult living conditions negatively affected not only her physical but also her psychological condition. She required further treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery among her family.

As a result of the measures taken, her return was organised. On March 6, 2026, the Ukrainian citizen was transported to Ukraine, where she was reunited with her family and able to continue the necessary treatment.
