Belarus’ Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) identified violations of price regulation and pricing legislation by two business entities.
According to the ministry’s press service, in Minsk, LLC “FartOkAbsolyut” exceeded the permitted retail markup when selling chicken eggs. Instead of the allowed 35%, the company applied markups ranging from 56.66% to 62%. As a result, eggs were sold for between 3.50 and 4.30 Belarusian rubles, while the permitted price ranged from 3.09 to 3.63 Belarusian rubles.
The Economic Court of Minsk imposed fines on both a company official and the legal entity, totaling more than 15,000 Belarusian rubles. The court’s rulings have not yet entered into legal force.
Another violation was identified at Dubitsa-Agro peasant farm in Minsk Region. When supplying regulated goods — potatoes, carrots, beets, cabbage, onions and apples — to state-funded organizations, the farm exceeded the maximum permitted wholesale prices and wholesale markups.
In addition, the waybills lacked mandatory information on the producer’s price, the discount amount, the wholesale markup and delivery terms. The Economic Court of Minsk Region fined both a company official and the legal entity a total of more than 6,800 Belarusian rubles. The rulings have entered into legal force.
According to MART, during the first half of 2026, inspections of compliance with pricing legislation identified violations at more than 150 business entities. The ministry issued 75 compliance orders, while administrative and preventive measures were imposed on 213 responsible individuals. The total amount of fines imposed in the cases reviewed exceeded 128,000 Belarusian rubles.
