Tsapkala Spoke About Meeting at the White House

Valery Tsapkala said he had met at the White House with Deputy Assistant to the U.S. President for National Security and National Security Adviser to the Vice President Andrew Baker.

“In particular, we discussed issues of regional security and Belarus’ participation in Russia’s war against Ukraine. It was proposed that when preparing a future peace agreement on Ukraine, Belarus should be included in it as a state that took part in the war by providing its territory and infrastructure for Russia’s military campaign,” the politician wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the sides also discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on international security, including “an initiative to involve Nobel Prize laureates in preparing a strategic report on the opportunities and risks of AI for global politics, the economy and security.” Another topic was “innovative models for post-war and post-conflict economic recovery.” The discussion concerned countries in the Middle East, Venezuela and Cuba.

“Technological ecosystems can become a tool for rapid economic restart and sustainable development.

Separately, we presented the initiative Computer Class for Every School in Africa, aimed at overcoming global digital inequality and creating computer classrooms for schools across the African continent based on used computers from the corporate sector.

We agreed to continue cooperation on issues of security, technology and development as elements of a unified strategic agenda,” Tsapkala concluded.
