US President Donald Trump said he expects to meet with the presidents of Russia and Ukraine soon.

“I think we’ve made significant progress with Russia on Russia-Ukraine. A meeting will take place soon, and I think significant progress will be made,” he said.

He was asked to clarify which meeting he was referring to.

“A meeting with President Putin and President Zelenskyy. And I think significant progress will be made,” Trump replied.

It is expected that trilateral talks at the technical level will take place in the United Arab Emirates in November. Yesterday, the leaders of Finland and Norway held a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Later, his aide Yury Ushakov said that Putin’s interlocutors had conveyed Zelenskyy’s wish to hold direct talks. Putin responded by saying that the Ukrainian president could travel to Moscow for that purpose.
