According to the Ministry of Transport, a snowflake pictogram warning of icy conditions has been painted on the road surface at the entrance to a bridge on the P-16 highway near the village of Tsiukhinichy.
At temperatures above 4 degrees Celsius, the snowflake remains white. As temperatures fall, it turns pink, providing an additional indication of an increased risk of ice forming on the road.
“No such experiments have been conducted in the country before. The unique paint is produced by a resident of the Brest Free Economic Zone. During the winter period, specialists will assess how this ‘snowflake’ performs and whether any inaccuracies arise,” Brestavtador said.
