Belarus’s traffic police will once again carry out a nationwide inspection campaign focused on minibuses. The preventive operation is scheduled for 8–12 December, the Interior Ministry’s press service announced.
“Traffic patrol units will give increased attention to cases of operating faulty vehicles, the presence and condition of winter tyres, violations of manoeuvring and overtaking rules, speeding, and driving through a red light,” the statement said.
Officers will also monitor the use of seat belts and the number of passengers carried in buses and minibuses.
Both drivers and transport company managers will face administrative liability for violations.
