Thunderstorms swept across eastern Belarus on July 13. Strong winds broke trees in Vitsyebsk, while streets were flooded in Homiel.
Emergency Ministry personnel responded 30 times to assist with clearing fallen trees in Vitsyebsk. According to preliminary data, four vehicles were damaged. One of the trees knocked a Lenin monument to the ground.
In Homiel, rescuers were called in to pump out water. Heavy rain flooded one residential property and one house on Lepeshynskaha Street. The water rose above floor level, the Emergency Ministry reports.
