German police checked a 22-year-old Belarusian man at the Polish-German border. It emerged that German law enforcement authorities were seeking him under three warrants, presseportal.de reports.
The Belarusian man was stopped for a check at the Krauschwitz border crossing on Friday, July 10. Authorities found that prosecutors in Berlin and Frankfurt (Oder) were seeking him in connection with theft cases. Another search notice had been issued to establish his place of residence. In addition, the Belarusian man had unpaid fines totaling 1,379 euros.
The young man paid the fines on the spot. Given his criminal record, German police denied him entry to Germany. He was returned to Poland.
