Three Injured Passengers Treated and Released From Hospital

The three people injured in the strike on the bus have been discharged after receiving medical treatment. They are in satisfactory condition, Homiel Regional Clinical Hospital chief physician Andrei Tabankou said.

“All patients received the full range of diagnostic and medical treatment. They were diagnosed with injuries of varying locations. None of the injuries are classified as serious. The patients are in satisfactory condition. They received all necessary medical care, including wound treatment, were given recommendations, and were discharged home,” Tabankou told Sputnik.

Earlier, Belarusian Security Council State Secretary Aliaksandr Valfovich had said that only the two drivers were injured in the strike and that they were in serious condition.

As previously reported, on the afternoon of July 2, a Belarusian tourist bus operating on the Minsk–Anapa route was struck by a drone in the Zlynka District of Russia’s Bryansk Region. There were 19 passengers on board. All Belarusian citizens were transported to the Homiel Region, while six Russian citizens remained at a temporary accommodation center in the Bryansk Region.

Russia’s Investigative Committee said the strike had been carried out by Ukrainian forces and opened a criminal case on terrorism charges. Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council described claims that a Ukrainian drone struck the Belarusian bus in the Bryansk Region as a Russian propaganda provocation.
