The Belarusian State Authority for Military Industry Replaces Imported Parts and Components Worth $147 Million

The Belarusian State Authority for Military Industry has carried out import substitution totaling $147 million. The figures were provided by its chairman Dzmitry Pantus in an interview with the magazine National Defense.

“One of the most important achievements has been the successful implementation of the import-substitution program. We rebuilt our technological chains and established domestic production of those parts and components that were previously purchased abroad.
As a result of this program, organizations within the military-industrial complex completed work that allowed us to replace imported parts, components, and services worth 147 million US dollars. This is a key factor that enabled us to reduce dependence on foreign supplies and ensure continuity of production,”
he said.

In the interview, Pantus also stated that Belarus and Russia are currently forming a single defense-industrial space.

Speaking about the tasks facing the committee, he mentioned export diversification.

“We remain focused on exports, we are looking for new markets and new partners. Active participation in international exhibitions, where we showcase our achievements, helps us in this,” he said.
