Talks between Alyaksandr Lukashenka and U.S. Special Envoy John Coale, which began the previous day on Friday, 12 December, continued on Saturday, 13 December, according to the president’s press service.
As reported earlier, on the previous day Alyaksandr Lukashenka met with representatives of the team of U.S. President Donald Trump, led by the U.S. Special Envoy for Belarus John Coale. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Eastern Europe Chris Smith.
“We have many issues. The world is changing very fast, new problems are emerging that we must discuss with you. And perhaps resolve some issues as well,” Lukashenka said.
It is worth noting that today’s talks do not involve the head of the KGB Ivan Tertel or Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Eastern Europe Chris Smith.
