State Property Committee Identifies 290,000 Unauthorized Land Plots in Belarus

The State Property Committee, together with local authorities, has identified 290,000 unauthorized land plots in Belarus.

According to Deputy Chairman Mikalai Bober, the owners of 31,000 plots (10%) have decided to pay the required fee to legalize their use. In the case of another 82,000 plots (28%), the land is to be allocated for personal subsidiary farming and gardening.

Local executive committees continue their work on another 104,000 plots. This includes either legalizing the land use or eliminating the identified violations.
