The share of Belarusian goods in the retail turnover of trade organizations declined in 2025. According to Belstat, it amounted to 54.4%, which is 2 percentage points less than in 2024. The data were provided by the statistical committee excluding organizations without departmental subordination with an average number of employees of up to 15 people in the previous year.
The share of Belarusian goods in the turnover of food products stood at 75.7%, which is 0.6 percentage points lower than at the end of 2024.
In the turnover of non-food products, the share of Belarusian-made goods amounted to 34.9%. It decreased by 2.4 percentage points compared with 2024.
Belstat also provided data for individual product categories. Thus, 100% of eggs sold in Belarus were domestically produced. More than 99% of sales of butter, meat, and sugar were accounted for by Belarusian products. Belarusian cheeses accounted for 95.6%, Belarusian vegetables held 74.7% of the market. At the same time, 86.2% of vegetable oil was of foreign origin, as were 85.6% of fruits sold, 59.9% of groats, 53.6% of fish and seafood, and 39.3% of pasta.
In the turnover of non-food products, only two categories cited by Belstat were predominantly Belarusian. These were motor fuel, 99.2% of which was of Belarusian production, and hosiery products at 63.8%. Imports dominated in all other categories. Thus, imports accounted for 57.7% of refrigerators and freezers, 59.3% of pharmaceutical products, 60.5% of construction materials, 64.6% of cars, 75.7% of televisions, 79.4% of perfumery and cosmetic products, 80.7% of footwear, and 89.8% of knitwear.
