Residents of Belarusian free economic zones (SEZ) reduced revenue and production volumes in 2025. This is indicated by data published by Belstat.
A total of 426 residents operated in Belarusian SEZs last year. Their combined revenue from sales amounted to 41.97 billion rubles, which is 3.7% less than in 2024.
Industrial output declined by 0.1% to 38.57 billion rubles.
The number of employees at resident companies also decreased slightly. It fell by 0.01% to 135.92 thousand people.
At the same time, residents recorded growth in average wages, which increased by 12.1% to 2,759.3 rubles, investment in fixed assets, which rose by 54.3% to 2.68 billion rubles, as well as payments to the budget and extra-budgetary funds, which increased by 6.4% to 3.89 billion rubles.
The share of SEZ residents in the country’s overall indicators amounted to:
4.7% of GDP,
18.5% of industrial production,
4.8% of investment in fixed assets,
20.9% of goods exports.
