Seven Balloons Flying In From Belarus Found In Poland

Seven balloons that entered from Belarusian territory on December 24 have been found in Poland. Four were discovered in Podlasie Voivodeship and three in Lublin Voivodeship, Polish police reported.

The incursion of several dozen weather balloons was recorded at 9:00 p.m. Polish time (11:00 p.m. Belarusian time). Part of the airspace over Podlasie Voivodeship was temporarily closed.

Poland’s National Security Bureau described the incident as a provocation disguised as the actions of smugglers.
