A family with three children was taken to hospital following a road accident in the Mahilyow District, the regional Interior Ministry department reported. The crash occurred today at about 11:40 a.m. on the M8 highway near the village of Knyazewka.
A 47-year-old woman driving a Nissan failed to give way while exiting a secondary road and collided with a Ford carrying a 32-year-old Mahilyow resident, his wife and their three young children.
As a result of the collision, the driver and four passengers of the Ford, including children aged 1.8, 6 and 9, were taken to hospital for examination. All three children were in child seats and were wearing seat belts, which helped prevent more serious consequences.
