The detainee is a Georgian citizen.
As previously reported, Skrepetsky was shot dead on a street in Biała Podlaska on June 15, 2026. Three days later, on June 18, the first suspect, Georgian citizen Elnur A., was arrested. He was charged with murder and remanded in custody.
The second suspect, 22-year-old Makhmud A., was arrested on October 19 in a car park near the A2 motorway. He was travelling with two other Georgian citizens. The day before, Makhmud A. had arrived in Poland from Georgia.
The ABW says evidence confirming Makhmud A.’s involvement in Skrepetsky’s murder has been obtained.
The young man has been charged with aiding and abetting murder, as well as illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. He has denied the charges. A court ordered that Makhmud A. be held in pretrial detention for three months.
The two Georgian citizens detained alongside Makhmud A. were handed over to border guards for deportation and banned from entering Poland for 10 years.
