The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) confirmed that it carried out a strike on the Khanskaya military airfield in Adygea, about 500 km from Ukraine, on the night of October 4.

According to the SBU, drones operated by the Alfa Special Operations Center hit an ammunition depot, a Su-35 fighter jet and a Su-34 fighter-bomber stationed at the airfield.

“Both aircraft are carriers of guided aerial bombs (GABs), which the enemy uses extensively along the front line and against Ukrainian cities,” the Ukrainian security service said.

The SBU said that Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure “will not go unanswered.”
