Ryzhankou to Visit Mozambique

Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou will pay an official visit to Mozambique on July 16–18, BelTA reports.

According to the Foreign Ministry’s press service, the visit will include high-level talks, meetings at relevant ministries, and contacts with business representatives.

As previously reported, on July 10 Ryzhankou met with João Osvaldo Machatine, Executive Coordinator of the Central Office for Reforms and Strategic Projects under the President of Mozambique. The sides discussed expanding economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as implementing projects in Mozambique’s agricultural sector and food security.

The meeting resulted in an agreement to develop joint projects on the use of Mozambican ports to facilitate exports of Belarusian products to markets in Southern Africa.

In June, Aliaksandr Lukashenka said Belarus was ready to offer Mozambique cooperation in agricultural mechanization, food security, industry, education, and other sectors, drawing on its successful experience of implementing projects with African partners.
