Ryzhankou Congratulates Kyrgyzstan on Election to UN Security Council

Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou has begun a visit to Kyrgyzstan. He met with Jeenbek Kulubayev, the country’s foreign minister.

According to Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Ministry, the sides discussed the bilateral agenda, including priority areas of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, and cultural spheres. They also reviewed the implementation of previously reached agreements.

The ministers clarified the schedule of upcoming events, including the next meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission and the next round of consultations between the two foreign ministries.

Part of the talks focused on cooperation within international organizations. Ryzhankou congratulated his counterpart on Kyrgyzstan’s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.

At the end of the meeting, the Belarusian foreign minister invited his Kyrgyz counterpart to visit Belarus.
