Russia Returns Blueberry Seedlings and Pallets to Belarus

Officers of Rosselkhoznadzor returned blueberry seedlings and wooden pallets to Belarus.

On March 20, in Russia’s Bryansk Region, a vehicle transporting 420 blueberry seedlings from the Minsk Region to the Oryol Region was stopped. The driver did not have a phytosanitary certificate or other documents for the cargo.

Laboratory testing did not detect harmful organisms in the seedlings, but they were nevertheless banned from import into Russia and returned to the sender. The carrier was brought to administrative responsibility.

On March 24, in the Bryansk Region, a vehicle carrying 17 pallets was stopped. It was traveling from the Minsk Region to the Moscow Region. The driver was unable to present a phytosanitary certificate for the cargo. The vehicle was returned to Belarus, and the carrier was brought to administrative responsibility.
