The Russian government has extended the permitted temporary stay for professional drivers who are citizens of Eurasian Economic Union member states to 180 days per year. The relevant resolution will enter into force on June 30, the Eurasian Economic Commission said.
In 2025, carriers from EAEU countries faced difficulties due to a reduction in the permitted temporary stay of foreign citizens in Russia to 90 days.
“This issue was repeatedly considered at the Eurasian Economic Commission. Following discussions, prompt response measures were developed, allowing international freight carriers to continue their professional activities”, the commission added.
