Russia’s agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor prohibited the export of about 300 day-old chicks to Belarus.
A vehicle with Belarusian license plates was stopped in Russia’s Bryansk Region. During the inspection, officials found that around 300 chicks had been purchased at a market in the town of Pochep and were being transported to Belarus without veterinary documents.
The vehicle was returned to the point of shipment so the necessary paperwork could be оформлено. The responsible individual was held administratively liable, Rosselkhoznadzor reported.
