Rules for Labelling Soft Drinks to Change in Belarus From May 1

Belarus will introduce mandatory identification marking for soft drinks and juices starting May 1, but the Ministry for Taxes and Duties recommends that businesses begin marking these products voluntarily already now.

“Business entities — producers and importers of soft drinks and juices — are recommended to voluntarily carry out identification marking of these goods in order to ensure a seamless transition to mandatory marking of these goods with identification means from May 1, 2026,” the ministry said.

Currently, juices and soft drinks are marked with unified control marks (UCM).
