Rights Group Says KGB Continues Searches at Registered Addresses of Belarusians Living Abroad

The wave of searches at the registered addresses of Belarusians who have left the country is continuing, the human rights centre Viasna reported.

Human rights defenders are aware of more than 30 cases in which searches were carried out at the homes of relatives of activists currently living abroad. The operations are being conducted by the KGB. Some of the searches are linked to participation in Freedom Day celebrations in Warsaw, Vilnius, Białystok and the United States.
