Rescuers Pull Moose Out Of Lake In Zhytkavichy District

Rescuers pulled a moose out of a lake in Zhytkavichy District. The incident occurred on a lake near the village of Borki.

Emergency Ministry personnel were called to the scene at 9:29 a.m. The animal was about 15 metres from the shore and was unable to get out on its own.

“Emergency Ministry personnel broke the ice edge and, using a fire hose together with staff of the Pripyatsky National Park, pulled the animal ashore. The moose was not injured,” the Emergency Ministry said.
