Red Alert Issued for July 1

Forecasters have issued a red weather alert for Wednesday, July 1. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach between 30°C and 34°C across most of Belarus, rising to 35°C–37°C in the south-west.

An orange weather alert has been issued for western Belarus, where thunderstorms accompanied by heavy downpours and squally winds with gusts of 15–20 metres per second are forecast. In some areas, wind gusts may reach 21–24 metres per second.
