The railway terminal under construction at the Great Stone Industrial Park near Minsk National Airport is expected to receive its first train from China as early as October. The overall project is scheduled for completion at a later stage. Kiryl Karatseyeu, First Deputy Director General for the development of the industrial park, said this in an interview with Belarusian television.
“The plans we announced earlier — namely, to begin operating the terminal in October — are being implemented. In October, we plan to receive the first train from China and dispatch the first train to China,” he said.
The terminal is expected to be fully completed in 2028.
“After that, we will continue building the terminal in subsequent phases through 2028. This includes administrative infrastructure, the building that will house permanent staff and customs personnel, as well as warehouse infrastructure. But the launch that will allow the project to begin operating and become commercially viable is scheduled for October this year,” Karatseyeu added.
