A Polish carrier faces a fine after allegedly attempting to bring about 660 undeclared racing accessories worth 435,000 Belarusian rubles into Belarus. As the Belarusian State Customs Committee said, the undeclared shipment corresponds to approximately 97,000 Belarusian rubles in unpaid customs duties.
The goods were discovered in a Renault truck traveling through the Kazlovichy border checkpoint together with a legally imported shipment of auto parts. The concealed cargo was not listed in the accompanying documents, and its presence was detected after the vehicle was scanned using an inspection and screening system.
Administrative proceedings have been initiated against the carrier under Article 15.5 of Belarus’s Code of Administrative Offenses, which provides for a fine of up to 30% of the value of the goods.
