Chairs of the international affairs committees of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic Siarhei Rachkou and Aleh Rummo will travel to The Hague on July 4-6. The 33rd Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will be held there under the theme “International Law and Shared Principles: Building Security and Cooperation Across the OSCE Region.”
According to the House of Representatives’ press service, the programme includes meetings of the OSCE PA Standing Committee and its three general committees (on political affairs and security; on economic affairs, science, technology and environment; and on democracy, human rights and humanitarian questions), as well as plenary sessions. Rachkou and Rummo are scheduled to address these meetings.
The session is expected to adopt the Hague Declaration containing recommendations on security, economic and environmental issues, and human rights.
