Power Supply in Belarus Fully Restored After Cyclone Leonie

As of 22:15, all населенные пункты in Belarus have again been supplied with electricity, the Ministry of Energy said.

Over the course of two days, energy workers eliminated the consequences of Cyclone Leonie, which disrupted power supply in more than 480 населенные пункты across the country. The work was carried out in difficult weather conditions and in hard-to-reach areas.

In total, about 280 emergency repair crews were involved in the recovery efforts — more than 900 specialists, around 320 units of equipment, and six diesel generator units.

At present, the processing of isolated requests on 0.4 kV networks is continuing. The ministry noted that the situation remains under special control. Energy workers are conducting constant monitoring, operating in an enhanced mode, and are ready to respond promptly to any changes in the situation.
