A 42-year-old resident of Brest used a Chinese-made SUV to drift on a field sown with elite wheat and ended up at a police station. The video was published in one of the chats and came to the attention of officers from the Brest District Police Department.
It later emerged that the author of the video had chosen as a drifting площадка an agricultural field near the village of Stradech in the Brest District, which was planted with elite wheat. According to the Brest Regional Executive Committee’s Internal Affairs Directorate, the crops were damaged and the losses to the local agricultural enterprise amounted to 1,400 Belarusian rubles.
Police established that the driver was a Brest resident who is engaged in selling cars. To advertise a new vehicle, he contacted bloggers who helped with filming and posted the recorded video in their group.
The man told female police officers that because of the snow he was unable to understand what exactly was growing on the field he entered to demonstrate the vehicle’s capabilities.
“He admitted his guilt and repented. In the near future, a legal assessment will be given to his actions,” the Internal Affairs Directorate said.
