Starting June 8, 2026, the procedure for booking visa application appointments at Polish visa centres will change for all categories of applicants and all visa types, VFS Global announced.
Under the new system, once an applicant completes all required steps, their application will be placed on a waiting list. A confirmation email containing a registration number will be sent to the applicant’s email address. When appointment slots become available, the applicant will receive a notification and will be able to book a convenient time.
Applicants will have 48 hours to select an appointment slot after receiving the notification. If no slot is booked within that period, the application will be removed from the waiting list.
The following steps remain unchanged: creating and activating an account, selecting a visa centre and visa category, uploading a passport photo and auto-filling personal data, and completing identity verification. All of these steps remain mandatory in order to gain access to the appointment booking system.
If an applicant no longer requires a visa while waiting for an appointment, the registration can be cancelled at any time through the VFS account.
