Poland’s Border Guard said that nearly 20 attempts by migrants to cross the border from Belarus were recorded on 13 May. Polish border guards had not recorded any such attempts for a prolonged period. Polish officers were mainly detaining migrants at the Lithuanian-Polish border who were trying to move further west.
At the same time, migratory pressure on the Lithuanian and Latvian borders persisted. However, Lithuanian border guards recorded no attempted crossings yesterday, while their Latvian counterparts reported 94 attempts.
