The Internal Affairs Directorate of the Hrodna Regional Executive Committee reported the closure of a moonshine production facility in the Hrodna District.
The illegal business was organized by a 60-year-old local resident. He installed two distillation units in an outbuilding. The containers used for fermenting mash could hold up to four tons. Officers also found 180 liters of ready-made moonshine in the building.
“Law enforcement authorities are currently determining the amount of illegal income, and product samples have been sent for examination. Based on the results, a legal assessment of the offender’s actions will be made,” police said.
