Industrial Production in Belarus Falls by 3.7% in January–February

The volume of industrial production in January–February amounted to 33.1 billion rubles. In comparable prices it decreased by 3.7% compared with the same period of 2025, according to data from Belstat. The dynamics of industrial production have worsened: in January alone the decline was 3.4%.

The sectors showed the following dynamics:

  • mining industry +1.3% (379.2 million rubles),
  • manufacturing −7% (28.24 billion rubles),
  • electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply +12.4% (3.89 billion rubles),
  • water supply; waste collection, treatment and disposal; remediation activities −2.1% (628.7 million rubles).

In regional terms, only the Brest Region recorded growth in industrial production, at 3.8%. The sharpest decline was recorded in Minsk, where production fell by 6%. For comparison, in January industrial production in Minsk was 12.8% lower than in the same month of 2025.
