Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ has awarded Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Natallia Petkevich the Order of Saint Olga, Equal-to-the-Apostles, Second Class, of the Russian Orthodox Church, according to BelTA.
The award was presented after a liturgy led by the patriarch at the Holy Resurrection Cathedral in Brest on the Feast of the Assembly of Belarusian Saints.
“By decree of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, in recognition of her assistance to the Belarusian Orthodox Church, Natallia Petkevich, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, is awarded the Order of Saint Olga, Equal-to-the-Apostles, Second Class, of the Russian Orthodox Church,” an announcement read after the service.
During the night of June 22, Patriarch Kirill is scheduled to take part in a memorial rally at the Brest Hero-Fortress Memorial Complex.
