Belstat published inflation data for July. Monthly inflation was 0.3%, the same as in June. The annual inflation rate rose by 0.1 percentage points to 4.4%.
Since the start of the year, the consumer price index has risen by 3.2%. The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade has set monthly limits for permissible price growth. For July, the limit was 4%.
Core inflation, which excludes changes in prices for seasonal and regulated goods and services, was 0.6% in July, up 0.2 percentage points from June, and reached 2.9% since the start of the year.
In July compared with June, food prices fell by 0.3%, non-food prices rose by 0.8%, and services became 0.6% more expensive.
Since the start of the year, food prices have risen by 1.5%, non-food prices by 2.3%, while service tariffs have increased by 7.3%.
Over the year, food prices rose by 3.1%, non-food prices by 2.9%, while service tariffs increased by 8.7%.
The inflation target for 2026 is no more than 7%.
