Forecasters have issued an orange weather alert for thunderstorms on July 3. Severe weather is expected in southeastern Belarus.
“On July 3 (Friday), thunderstorms are expected in the southeastern part of the country. In some areas, thunderstorms will be accompanied by heavy downpours and squally winds with gusts of 15–20 meters per second,” Belhydromet warned.
On Friday, weather conditions in Belarus will be influenced mainly by atmospheric fronts. Skies will be partly cloudy. Short periods of rain are expected overnight in the southeast and during the day across most of the country. Patchy light fog is forecast in some areas overnight and in the morning. Overnight temperatures will range from +11 to +17 degrees Celsius, rising to +18 to +21 degrees Celsius in the southeast. Daytime highs will range from +21 degrees Celsius in the northwest to +29 degrees Celsius in the south.
