Number of Employed in Belarusian Economy Declines Again in September

In September, 4.151 million people were employed in the Belarusian economy — 5,200 fewer than in August. Employment had increased the previous month but fell again after a brief rise in July.

A decline in employment was also recorded in September last year. As a result, compared to September 2024, the number of employed people was higher by 42,300. Year-on-year employment figures therefore continue to show growth.

However, compared to December 2019, the number of employed people has decreased by 184,000. At that time, 4.335 million people were working in the economy.
