A leak of non-concentrated nitric acid occurred in Minsk from a грузовой vehicle.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the incident took place on the premises of an enterprise on Babushkina Street.
“Arriving MES units established that the trailer contained IBC containers with nitric acid (15 tanks of 1 m³ each). MES units created a foam cushion and limited the spread of vapours using sprinklers. Rescuers pumped the non-concentrated nitric acid from two damaged containers into резервные ones,” the statement said.
No exceedance of maximum permissible vapour concentrations was recorded. No one was injured. Ten units of MES equipment were deployed at the scene. The cause of the incident is being established.
