The National Bank plans to increase the share of consumer loans for Belarusian-made goods to 20% by 2030. This was announced by First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank’s Board Aliaksandr Yahorau.
“If we talk about loans for domestically produced goods, our target figure is 20% by the end of this five-year period. For now, we are setting the task of increasing this share by about two percentage points each year. Accordingly, for 2026 the target is to reach roughly 12% and then gradually increase it further,” he said.
Recently, the “Na rodnyya tavary” (For Native Goods) loan program was extended. It allows borrowers to take out a loan at 4% per annum from Belarusbank, provided they purchase domestically produced goods included in the approved list.
