MOL Says Ukraine Has Begun Receiving Oil From Belarus Via Druzhba

Hungarian oil company MOL expects oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline to arrive no later than Thursday. Ukrtransnafta informed the company that it had begun receiving crude oil from Belarus via Druzhba at noon today.

“MOL expects the first crude oil deliveries following the restart of the Ukrainian section of the pipeline to arrive in Hungary and Slovakia no later than tomorrow”, the company said in a statement.

It is worth recalling that the Druzhba pipeline in the direction of Hungary and Slovakia has not been operating since Jan. 27 after infrastructure was damaged in a Russian attack. Ukraine said yesterday that repairs had been completed with EU support.

The Druzhba pipeline in Belarus splits into two branches. One runs toward Poland and then Germany. The second runs through Ukraine and then to Slovakia and Hungary.
